By car: from Fort William follow the A82 to the mini roundabout and continue straight ahead for Glen Nevis. The youth hostel is 3 miles along this road and past the Ben Nevis visitor centre
On foot: turn left out of the train/bus station on to Belford Road. Pass the hospital and Lochaber Leisure Centre. Go straight on at the mini roundabout just past Glen Nevis Campsite (approx 2.5 miles).
We are located right in Glen Nevis approximately 3 miles from the main bus and train terminals in Fort William. You wake up looking at Britain's highest mountain disappearing up into the morning mist and the very best of the rest of Scotland starts right outside. We are the best place to base yourself whilst exploring the local mountains, waterfalls and even film sets. We are also ideally located for three peaker and WHW Groups.
Conditions & Policy
Most rooms (dorms and private rooms) are based on shared bathroom facilities. All rooms are Non Smoking. Shower gel, soaps and toiletries available to purchase from reception. Towels are available for hire (available free to private booked rooms). Breakfast, dinner and packed lunch available to purchase, or guests can use the self- catering kitchen. The hostel has a lounge, dining room and excellent drying room and bike storage. There are some free car parking spaces In the event of a no-show, your credit/debit card will be debited for the total cost of your stay. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted. All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hostelling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund.) From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodation. Parties with young children (under 12 years) can only be accommodated in private rooms where available. Hostelling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when travelling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodation is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots.
