Sitting on the southern shore of Loch Ossian, this traditional but homely eco-hostel makes a perfect base for hillwalkers looking to explore the remote wilderness of Rannoch Moor.
Accommodation at the hostel is in male and female specific dorms, but groups and families have the option of booking
IMPORTANT: there is no vehicle access to the youth hostel or Corrour Station. Nearest road access is Rannoch Station or Tulloch.
On foot: walk the one mile from Corrour train station, or long distance footpaths from Rannoch, Glen Nevis, Dalwhinnie, Fersit, Laggan and Kinlochleven.
By train: the youth hostel is a one mile walk east of Corrour station on the Glasgow to Fort William line. For timetables check www.firstscotrail.co.uk.
This is ideal walking country with plenty of low and high-level routes including some fine Munros and Corbetts. There are various activities available including fishing, cycling, nature walks, mountaineering and hill-walking.

Loch Ossian Youth Hostel Policies & Conditions: Cancellation policy: 72 hours before arrival. Check in from 16:30 to 22:00 . Check out from 07:00 to 10:00 . Late arrival and access outside opening hours is by pre-arrangement only. Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards. Hostelling Scotland does not accept American Express cards as payment or guarantee. This property may pre-authorise your card before arrival. Taxes included. Breakfast not included. General: Reception: 07:00- 10:00 & 16:30- 22:30. The hostel is closed between 10.00-17.00. No curfew. Non smoking. From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodation. Parties with young children (under 12 years) can only be accommodated in private rooms where available. Hostelling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when travelling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodation is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots. Hostelling Scotland is a charity aiming to inspire all, especially young people, to broaden their horizons, gain knowledge and independence through new experiences of adventure and discovery. In support of this aim, all bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night which is displayed as an inclusive rate.
